St. Paul’s Breakfast Program at The Knowlton Academy

DID YOU KNOW?

 
THAT THE KNOWLTON ACADEMY BREAKFAST PROGRAMME IS RUN BY VOLUNTEERS FROM OUR CHURCH ONLY – 2 PEOPLE PER MORNING EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK.
 
THE BREAD SERVED TO THE CHILDREN  IS DONATED BY IGA.
 
AN AVERAGE OF 3-4 LOAVES ARE TOASTED BY THE VOLUNTEER EACH  MORNING.
 
LAST YEAR……….
 
53.89 KGS OF NON-HYDROGENATED MARGARINE AND 91 KGS. OF JAM WERE SPREAD ON THIS TOAST!
 
1906 SMALL STICKS OF PURE CHEESE, CUT IN HALF, WERE SERVED (EQUALING 3812 PIECES).
 
5136 INDIVIDUAL CUP CONTAINERS OF JUICE – APPLE OR ORANGE – WERE CONSUMED.
 
1120 SMALL CUP CONTAINERS OF YOGOURT WERE EATEN.
 
 
SMALL CONTAINERS OF MILK ARE PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL AND CONSUMED ON AN AVERAGE OF 20-25 PER DAY.
 
OUR VOLUNTEERS BRING SUPPLEMENTS TO THE ABOVE OF BANANA BREAD, FRUIT, HARD BOILED EGGS, LEMON BREAD AND MUFFINS.
 
TEACHERS COME TO US FOR FOOD FOR CHILDREN WHO COME TO SCHOOL HAVING NOT HAD BREAKFAST AND WITH NO SIGN OF LUNCH IN THEIR BAGS.
 
THE COST OF THE FOOD BOUGHT FOR THIS PROGRAMME LAST YEAR WAS $2,391.68.
 
SO FAR THIS YEAR 1172 STICKS OF CHEESE (2344 PIECES) –30 LITRES OF JAM –28.53 KGS MARGARINE – 2880 CUPS OF JUICE – 400 CUPS OF YOGOURT HAVE BEEN CONSUMED AT A TOTAL COST OF $1,040.94.
 
A MORNING DOES NOT GO BY WITHOUT BEING THANKED BY BOTH STUDENTS AND TEACHERS FOR RUNNING THIS PROGRAMME.
